MDIEU, the Sustainable Employability and Earlier Retirement Measurement Scheme, provides financial support to companies striving to ensure the sustainable employability of their employees. This includes activities such as promoting health, pre- and onboarding, career development, and creating a vital work environment where employees can continue working longer and healthily. The goal is to help employers take concrete steps that improve both employee productivity and well-being
The MDIEU scheme is designed specifically for companies looking to invest in the long-term employability of their workforce. The grant is particularly valuable at a time when workers are working longer and it is essential that they stay healthy and motivated. Activities that can be supported vary widely, from onboarding employees to developing new ways of working, conducting employee surveys and establishing a vitality policy
Pre- and onboarding are crucial steps to ensure the sustainable employability of employees. By effectively welcoming new employees and providing them with the right tools and knowledge, they can integrate and become productive faster. This process not only promotes their engagement and satisfaction, but also helps reduce turnover and absenteeism
With ENBOQ’s innovative approach, we ensure that every new employee feels valued and prepared, contributing to their long-term employability and well-being within the company. This lays a solid foundation for a sustainable and productive working relationship, and demonstrates good employment practice as an organization, which perfectly aligns with the objectives of the MDIEU grant
To claim the MDIEU grant as a company, the process begins with making a thorough business analysis. This analysis helps identify bottlenecks around sustainable employability. In the case of outsourcing, you will receive a fixed fee of €5,000 for the company analysis performed
After the business analysis is complete, you will prepare a comprehensive activity plan. This plan describes which specific activities will be carried out to improve sustainable employability and clearly establishes the links between the identified bottlenecks and the planned activities. Preparing a clear and detailed budget is a crucial part of this plan
Together with its grant advisor, ENBOQ can take most of this preparation off your hands. In doing so, realize that in 2024, applications can only be submitted on Sept. 2. The minimum grant amount to apply for is €75,000, and activities that contribute to sustainable employability are eligible for 50% subsidy
In practice, this means that companies can make substantial investments in improving the health and vitality of their employees. By taking advantage of the MDIEU grant, as an HR manager you can have a direct, positive impact on the workplace and contribute to a more sustainable human resources policy
To be eligible for the MDIEU grant, labor organizations, such as companies and foundations, must develop projects that enhance the sustainable employability of their employees. Minimum grant amount that can be applied for is €75,000. Grants must be applied for during specific time periods and meet set criteria, including promoting health and wellness in the workplace
